Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar who has been in the news almost on a daily basis these days is trending yet again.
And this time, she has come out to say that marriage is not her priority for now. According to the Kogi State, Nigeria born actress who is in her mid-30s, she does not see any reason why anyone should be bothered about her single status as long as she is enjoying it.
She was reacting to some of her fans who have expressed their desire to see her settle down and this is what she had to say:
“I don’t know why people always seem to be putting pressure on others to get married. When the marriage doesn’t work out, they will be the first to criticize you.
“My parents are not pressurizing me to get married; my family is not pressurizing me to get married either. So, I don’t see why I should let anyone pressurize me into marriage.”
Nicely said Halima; it is nobody’s business if you decide to remain single for the rest of your life but do not forget that marriage is an honorable thing especially in these parts.
