Senate President David Mark counseled the FG and the ASUU to honour the agreement that made them end of the six months old industrial action in order to avoid a repeat of the unfortunate strike.
Mark, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary,
Mr. Paul Mumeh, advised that the N200bn education fund lodged at the Central Bank of Nigeria vault for the purpose of addressing the decay in the universities, should be used judiciously to address the challenges in the universities.
He stated this when the President of ASUU, Dr.Nasir Fagge; his Vice, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi; and his predecessors, Dipo Fashina as well as Dr.Abdullahi Sule-Kano visited him. Mark urged them to do all that was required to return education to its former glory.
